Luis "Lucho" Aguilar nació en Perú y vino a Costa Rica
a mediados de los noventa. Se inició tocando música en el estilo de ACDC y Guns
and Roses, pero al explorar las raíces esto le llevó irremediablemente a conocer Stevie Ray Vaughan y el blues. Lucho
se inició como guitarrista de blues en el grupo de Anthony White: Blues Machine. Tiene un excelente tono y “feeling”
por el blues y en Costa Rica creo que es difícil que alguien lo supere en este estilo. Su estilo es más moderno, con influencia
de SRV principalmente y guitarristas que han seguido una línea similar como Johny Lang y Kenny Wayne Shepard. Desde su ingreso
a Blues Devils en 2002, Lucho ha empezado a dominar otros estilos de blues mas clásicos como el de Freddie King y Albert Collins
y también el West Coast Blues.

Luis “Lucho” Aguilar was born in Peru and came to Costa Rica
in the mid nineties. He began playing music in in the style of ACDC and Guns
and Roses, but this led him irremediably to Stevie Ray Vaughan and the blues. Lucho started as a blues guitar player in the
band of Anthony White: Blues Machine. He has an excellent tone and “feeling” for the blues and in Costa Rica I
believe that it is difficult that somebody surpasses him in this style. His style is modern, with influence of SRV mainly
and guitarists who have followed a similar line like Johny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepard. Since he joined Devils Blues in 2002,
Lucho has begun to master other styles such as classic blues in the style of
Freddie King and Albert Collins and West Coast Blues also.
